Flower Child

I grew up in a greenhouse and was raised around creative people. My entire family worked in my grandfather's flower shop. I spent countless hours watering plants, processing flowers and designing bouquets.

This is where my love and passion for flowers began.

After years of being groomed in the flower business...the time finally came when I decided to branch out on my own. I opened my own retail flower shop which I enjoyed for 18 wonderful years.

2005 I decided to follow my passion, leave retail and design flowers strictly for weddings & special events.

My job is not as glamorous as some might think. It requires lifting heavy buckets, de-thoring roses, designing for long tedious hours sometimes into the wee hours of the morning and then requires waking up early and next morning to deliver and set up the event.

What makes it all worthwhile is when the big day finally arrives, and I hand the bride her bouquet, and she whispers "It's more beautiful than I could have ever imagined".

100 Blooming Years

1930

Here's a photo of my grandfather's flower shop in 1930  "Baldwin Flowers" which was located on Fayette Street in the heart of Conshohocken for 100 years (1907-2007).

It's still magical even after all these years of the countless weddings and events I've designed. I still get a thrill out of seeing the beautiful transformation flowers bring and enjoy the sweet perfume.

I'm proud to have come from a family of hard working talented florists and thrilled to carry on the family tradition.
